| USU receives LACP Platinum Award |

The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) has honoured USU AG with a Vison Award in Platinum in recognition of the companys 2008 annual report. USUs report was ranked 24rd among about 3,500 companies from 22 countries, signifying an improvement of 54 places versus last years positioning. LACP honors USUs 2008 annual report with a Platinum award in the category "Software" - ahead of SAP, Nemetschek, and other bigger players in that field. What is more, the company received two silver awards in a separate category focusing on the best Report Narrative.
The jury, which comprised of international communications experts, awarded USUs publication with 98 out of a possible 100 points. USU obtained the maximum score of 10 points in each category not only for the assessment criterion Report Narrative but also for the Report Cover, Creativity, Message Clarity, Report Financials, and Information Accessibility.
Under the title "Im Wort", USUs 2008 annual report outlines, that the company sticks by its word in relation to customers, shareholders, employees and business partners.
"Overall, we find this work to be outstanding, earning a total score of 98 out of a maximum of 99 points awarded in this competition. The first impression presented by this annual report is superb while the cover and Letter to Shareholders are outstanding and excellent, respectively. This work is supported by a robust financial section that we believe is outstanding", comments the jury of LACP.
"This excellent result is extremely gratifying and shows that, besides our technologies, our publications too satisfy the highest quality standards," says Bernhard Oberschmidt, CEO of USU Software.
